Dr. Ava Shamban

Ava Shamban is the founder of Ava MD, a cosmetic dermatology and medical aesthetics practice, and she sees patients at its Santa Monica and Beverly Hills offices. She is board-certified in dermatology. She earned a Harvard degree magna cum laude and holds a medical degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Previously she held a teaching appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the UCLA-Geffen School of Medicine. Outside the clinic, she serves as principal investigator on numerous clinical and FDA trials, is on the editorial board of The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, and is a member of the ASDS and the AAD. She gives lectures abroad. According to the practice's website, she holds that how people look and their self-esteem are strongly linked.
