Dr. Andrei Gherghina

Andrei Gherghina serves as medical director at Cosmetica Med Spa in Boca Raton, where he directs the medical oversight of each treatment, including protocols and patient safety standards, and reviews the treatment information and guides on the salon's website for medical accuracy. Drawing on more than ten years in medicine, he is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon.

He began his studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Biomedical Science, both from Florida Atlantic University. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. Two one-year fellowships came next: one in dermoscopy, and one in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology in Miami Beach, completed in 2020.

His expertise covers cosmetic dermatology, injectables, laser dermatologic surgery, dermoscopy, skin cancer and Mohs surgery. The American Board of Dermatology has certified him in dermatology since 2019 and in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery since 2021, and he takes part in the board's continuing certification program. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. In 2018 he co-authored an article on perspectives in cosmetic dermatology in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. He speaks English and Romanian.
