Andrei Gherghina, DO, MS

Andrei Gherghina is the medical director of Cosmetica Med Spa in Boca Raton. He takes charge of the medical side of each treatment, setting protocols and patient safety standards, and he checks the medical accuracy of the treatment information and guides published on the Cosmetica website. He is a board-certified dermatologist, certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 2019, and holds board certification in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery since 2021. He completed a one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology in Miami Beach in 2020, and a separate one-year fellowship in dermoscopy, so he is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. His clinical interests include cosmetic dermatology, injectables, laser dermatologic surgery, dermoscopy, skin cancer and Mohs micrographic surgery. He takes part in the American Board of Dermatology continuing certification program and belongs to the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014, after a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from Florida Atlantic University. In 2018 he co-authored Perspectives in cosmetic dermatology: What is in front of the mirror? in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. He speaks English and Romanian and has over a decade in medicine.
