Dr. Amy B. Lewis

Dr. Amy B. Lewis practices medical and cosmetic dermatology at Lewis Dermatology & Associates in Manhattan. She has over 15 years of work in dermatological surgery, cosmetic dermatology and laser dermatology. At Yale University School of Medicine she holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology, and in 2005 she set up the Yale Cosmetic Dermatology Division inside the Dermatologic Surgery Department, where she continues to mentor and teach residents and fellows. Her education began at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then earned a Medical Degree with highest honors from Yale School of Medicine, completed a medical internship at Cornell/New York Hospital, and finished a fellowship in dermatological laser and reconstructive surgery at Yale. Following the fellowship she practiced privately and carried out clinical studies on dermatological lasers at the Washington Institute for Dermatological Laser Surgery. Her focus is cosmetic and laser dermatology with a special interest in cosmeceuticals, and she also treats medical skin conditions, including full-body skin checks and removal of cysts and skin lesions. She has been a certified speaker and trainer for Allergan, Galderma, Merz, Suneva, Lumenis and Candela, and a consultant or advisor to Kiehl's, IS Clinical, Alastin and Neocutis. She is nationally recognized in cosmetic dermatology and a pioneer in dermatological laser procedures. Media coverage has quoted her on sun damage, sun protection, laser treatments and Botox, and she was featured in a national television commercial for Botox Cosmetic. She has written many publications, among them chapters in plastic surgery and dermatology books, and she gives frequent lectures at academic meetings.
