Delio Ortegon

Delio Ortegon is president and director of San Antonio Cosmetic Surgery and leads its aesthetic team. A board-certified plastic surgeon, he concentrates on breast and body procedures, and he is a specialist in fast-recovery breast augmentation. He earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology (B.A.) from the University of Texas at Austin and a medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. His general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery residencies took place at University Hospital in San Antonio. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, holds Fellow status with the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is clinical faculty in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Center in San Antonio and has served as Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Christus Santa Rosa Medical Westover Hills Hospital. His practice includes Rapid Recovery and natural breast augmentation and liposuction. He has been recognized with awards for his research and writing, among them the Alexander Competition and the Surgeon General's Award in Trauma/Critical Care. He has presented at national and statewide meetings and published in The Journal of Trauma, Infection, and Critical Care and The Journal of Surgical Research.
