Deborah Petrowsky, MD

Deborah Petrowsky, MD, is a cosmetic physician at The Spa at Mecca in Fairfield, New Jersey. She carries out cosmetic laser and injectable treatments and has spent more than ten years in cosmetic and laser medicine, across private and academic practice since 1998. She received the New Jersey Top Doctor Award in Aesthetic Medicine for the last two years.

Earlier in her career, her pulmonary and critical care practice covered Morris and Hunterdon Counties, and she directed pulmonary hypertension work for the cardiac transplant division at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Her cosmetic dermatology work has included a role as medical director and as cosmetic physician. She served as World Wide Medical Director and US/Global Medical Director for Pfizer, Inc., and as Vice President of Medical Affairs for Ikaria, Inc. She has trained numerous physicians in injection and laser techniques throughout New Jersey.

Her education includes a BS in Biology from Seton Hall University, graduated magna cum laude, and an MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with high honors. She did an internship and residency in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, then a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Alleghany University, also in Philadelphia. Her memberships include the American College of Physicians and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, among several other medical and aesthetic societies. She believes feeling good about one's appearance can carry over into other areas of life.
