About
Deanna Shinsky holds licenses to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine, both at the California state level and nationally. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego, and a Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University. Her coursework covers dry needling, sports medicine aimed at reducing pain and aiding injury recovery, and microneedling for facial rejuvenation. Her clinical training took place at a hospital in Vietnam that combines Eastern and Western medicine. Her treatment areas include stress, pain management, muscle tension, acne scarring, discoloration, fine lines, hair loss and overall skin health. She designs individualized plans that draw on evidence-based knowledge and holistic medicine, with the aim of addressing the underlying cause of a concern.
