David Nowicky

David Nowicky is a dermatologic plastic surgeon at Carolinas Skin Center. He spent nearly two decades in plastic surgery before shifting his focus to dermatologic and skin-focused plastic surgery. Earlier in his career he worked and trained with a plastic surgery and dermatology group in the Charlotte area.

He studied as an undergraduate at Kent State University and earned his MD at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed a general surgery residency in Greenville, South Carolina, followed by plastic surgery training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, where he serves as an ambassador. His other memberships are the Plastic Surgery Society of Greater Charlotte, the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons, the North Carolina Medical Society and the American Board of Medical Specialties.

His practice includes flap reconstruction after skin lesion removal, and he treats skin cancer, precancerous lesions, moles, abnormal scars, cysts and lipomas. He is a seasoned plastic surgeon. He works toward minimal visible scarring and weighs the overall patient experience alongside surgical outcomes.
