David Amron

David Amron founded The Roxbury Institute in Beverly Hills in 2015 and serves as its medical director. The institute now has locations in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Tucson. He is a board-certified dermatologic surgeon with more than 25 years of experience, and he has performed over 8,000 lipedema-reduction surgeries through the Advanced Lipedema Treatment program. The institute describes him as a pioneer of lipedema surgery in the United States.

He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California San Diego. His training includes a research fellowship at UCLA and a fellowship in dermatologic surgery and advanced techniques. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and holds a dermatologic surgery subspecialty certification. His listed expertise covers lipedema reduction surgery, the ALT method, advanced liposuction, body contouring, liposculpture, mini-lipo, revision and tumescent liposuction, cosmetic liposculpture, complex case management, and clinical research and trials. He trains other surgeons on his techniques.

He founded the Lipedema Society in 2015 and created the Lippy Logic YouTube series, an educational program about lipedema. He wrote the 2023 book Liposculpture and Lipedema Surgery: A Guide for the Patient and Pearls for the Surgeon, which the site says was an Amazon best seller. His keynote talks include the Lipedema World Congress in Rome in 2025, the Fat Disorders Research Society conference in Atlanta in 2024 and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery annual meeting in California in 2024. He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times and Netflix's Celebrity Plastic Surgeons of Beverly Hills. He belongs to the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society for Liposuction Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
