David Altamira, MD

David Altamira, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who leads the practice in Houston. He completed his undergraduate training at Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude, and earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine with high honors. He was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society there.

His postgraduate training was at Baylor College of Medicine as well: a five-year general surgery residency, which included training under Dr. Michael DeBakey, followed by a three-year plastic surgery residency. He has over twenty years of advanced training and surgical practice and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

He maintains a private plastic surgery practice, is on staff at several hospitals, serves on multiple hospital committees, and teaches, lectures and trains surgical residents. He specializes in revision surgery to correct results from earlier cosmetic surgery and performs facial, breast and body procedures, including breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, rhinoplasty, facelift, Mommy Makeovers, eyelid surgery, thigh lifts and Botox and filler treatments.
