Darlene (Dar)

Darlene is the owner and stylist of Style by Dar. She became a licensed hairstylist in 1990 and gained early salon experience at a local salon. She later moved to Southern California, where she joined an established salon and learned skills from the stylists there. She earned a bachelor's degree in communications while working in the salon.

She moved back to Maryland in 2000 and worked as a beauty sales consultant while building a clientele. She then joined a salon as a stylist before opening her own, and in 2010 she became an independent stylist.

Her certifications include color specialist, extensionist, and HSM hair cutter. She has completed balayage master classes and keratin certifications, and she continues ongoing education to stay current. Her focus covers color, dimensional color and balayage, extensions, haircuts, and keratin treatments.
