About

Cristyn Watkins, MD, runs aNu Aesthetics & Optimal Wellness in Kansas City as its founder, medical director and owner. She oversees the medical aesthetics side and started the wellness medicine team she still leads. According to the business's about page, she is double board-certified in Family and Integrative Medicine and has more than 15 years of experience. Watkins began in family medicine caring for underserved communities in Brooklyn, New Jersey and Missouri. In 2011 she opened the first aNu location in the Northland area of Kansas City while continuing to work at federally qualified health centers. By 2014 she was Chief Medical Officer at Northwest Health Services, where she oversaw nearly 20 providers across seven clinics. She later co-founded a regenerative clinic, which has since been folded into aNu's services. Her training includes advanced study at George Washington University's School of Medicine and Health Sciences and an advanced certification in functional, metabolic and nutrition medicine. She holds certification as a Master Injector from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery and keeps training in hormone therapy, metabolic health and longevity science. She works as a national trainer in PRP, peptide therapy, IV nutrition, ozone and advanced biologics, mentors other providers and speaks at national conferences. The business describes her as a master injector, a national educator and a nationally recognized leader in aesthetics and regenerative medicine. Her integrative practice addresses hormonal imbalances, gut disorders and IBS, autoimmune disease, infertility and cycle health, chronic infections and inflammation, and fatigue, burnout and metabolic dysfunction. Listed specialties are regenerative therapies, hormone care and root-cause diagnostics.
