Cristie Austin

Cristie Austin owns Color Analysis PDX in Portland and works as its Color Analysis Specialist. She has 31 years of experience in beauty, style and personal transformation, and has worked as a hair stylist and color specialist for nearly three decades. She has owned Urban Roots Hair Salon for the past 15 years. She has a loyal clientele in Portland.

Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Oregon and color theory study at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco in 1989. She trained as a dedicated student of Tatum Gangi in personal color analysis and is trained in the 16-Palette System. In July 2026 she completed advanced professional training in Korean Color Analysis in New York City, and she is internationally certified in that method.

Her specialties are personal color analysis, including seasonal palettes, metals, makeup and hair color.
