Corey S. Maas

Corey S. Maas founded The Maas Clinic in San Francisco in 2001, where he serves as Founder and Medical Director. He is also Medical Director of The Appearance Care Center, the clinic's on-site medical day spa. He practices as a facial plastic surgeon, with a focus on managing the aging face through rhinoplasty and facial implant procedures. Separately, he started Beauty for Books, a nonprofit that provides educational resources to underfunded public school districts in the Bay Area. The clinic calls him an internationally renowned facial plastic surgeon.

He completed a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, after earlier training at other medical institutions. He then served more than 11 years as Chief of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCSF and taught there for 12 years, supervising residents and medical students. He has trained fellows for the past 23 years. He serves as a Fellowship Director with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery's Educational and Research Foundation.

He has been President of the California Society of Facial Plastic Surgery and of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and he currently sits on the boards of both. A past editor of the San Francisco Marin Medicine Journal, he has written more than 150 articles, contributed to numerous book chapters, and taken part in more than 40 clinical trials. He received the Readers' Choice Award for Best Cosmetic Surgeon from the SF Examiner and SF Weekly. The clinic also notes that he received the Sir Harold Delf Gillies Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
