Constantino Mendieta

Constantino Mendieta is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Miami, Florida, and the founder of 4Beauty Aesthetic Institute for Plastic Surgery, also listed on the website as 4Beauty by Mendieta. He holds an M.D. and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and he is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has practiced for over 23 years. Early in his career he served as medical director for Adams Air Ambulance and as a flight surgeon from 1996 to 1997.

His training began with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Creighton University and a medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix from 1989 to 1994, including a chief year, then a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital from 1995 to 1997. In 1998 he completed aesthetic and breast surgery fellowships in California, Atlanta and Boston, including a clinical fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He has studied under plastic surgery innovators abroad and has taught body contouring techniques internationally.

His best-known work is the Brazilian butt lift. He developed the Mendieta Technique for recontouring the hips and buttocks, pioneered the modern BBL, and invented the Miami Thong Lift. He also performs breast, body and facial surgery, facial reconstruction including nose and ear reconstruction, oculoplasty, mentoplasty and facial reanimation, and abdominal etching using tumescent liposuction. He is the author of The Art of Gluteal Sculpting, published in 2011, and has lectured at medical meetings since 2004. Newsweek named him America's Best Plastic Surgeon in 2022. Patients can expect a BBL planned around their own body fat, along with post-operative support and aftercare during healing.
