Charles Peri

Charles Peri founded Novato Acupuncture and holds a Doctor of Oriental Medicine degree. He works as a traditional Chinese medicine doctor and has run a private practice serving patients across Marin County for more than two decades. He developed AcuGlow, a facial rejuvenation program that the clinic offers.

He began learning in the late 1970s with a four-year apprenticeship under Dr. Robert Kong, a Chinese acupuncturist and herbalist from a family with four generations in the trade. Later he completed a Master of Science at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California, and studied the Chinese language and culture to be able to learn directly from doctors in China. He is still pursuing further study.

He regards acupuncture as part craft and part science, with each treatment planned around the patient's health history and recurring patterns. The conditions he lists as treatable include pain and inflammation, weight concerns, addictions, chronic fatigue, depression, stroke recovery, fertility and menopausal symptoms.
