About
Charles Maksou works as a craftsman at Dry Cut in Brookline. He learned dry cutting from John Sahag in New York.
Before opening his first salon in 1994, he worked in Boston and New York salons. In 2008 he joined Elan Sasson and Michael Barsamian to create MIZU Boston and MIZU New York. He has won eight 'Boston's Best' awards.
He also styles hair for magazine shoots, including ones for Boston Magazine, Mami, Turkish Vogue and Improper Bostonian. His work with boutiques and designers in Boston and New York includes Betsy Johnson, Emporio Armani, Prada, Donna Karan and Gucci. Among his celebrity clients are Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Adam Sandler.
