Charles E. Newman Jr., MD

Charles E. Newman Jr., MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon with the practice, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He studied biology at Davidson College in North Carolina and went to medical school at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. His surgical training in general surgery and plastic surgery took place at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, under Dr. Malcolm Marks, Dr. Louis Argenta and Dr. Wayne Meredith, and covered reconstructive, cosmetic, pediatric reconstruction, hand, microsurgery and endoscopic techniques.

He focuses on facial, brow and eyelid rejuvenation, cosmetic breast procedures and body contouring, including abdominoplasty and liposuction. He also performs minimally invasive options such as peels, lasers, fillers, Botox, implants and fat injections. In breast reconstruction he uses tissue expanders and implants, TRAM flaps and latissimus flaps. He has a particular interest in skin cancer, including melanoma, squamous cell and basal cell carcinoma, and works with other physicians on soft tissue reconstruction.

He attends national and regional meetings to keep up with new technology, and aims for a professional, comfortable, informative and individualized experience with open communication.
