About

C. Spencer Cochran, MD founded Dallas Rhinoplasty Center in June 2014, after working alongside Jack Gunter, MD. He had joined Gunter's practice in 2006 at Gunter's invitation, and Gunter retired in 2014 and entrusted the practice to him. His surgical practice is limited to primary and revision rhinoplasty, and he is one of only a few US physicians with that focus. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where he was Chief Resident in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and studied rhinoplasty directly under Gunter, observing and assisting in surgery. He holds appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and an Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern. He teaches rhinoplasty techniques to other surgeons and lectures at the Dallas Rhinoplasty Symposium, ASAPS and the AAFPRS rhinoplasty course. He also contributed to the third edition of Dallas Rhinoplasty: Surgery by the Masters.

His expertise covers primary, male, ethnic and revision rhinoplasty, along with septoplasty, nasal fracture repair, nasal reconstruction, turbinoplasty and chin implants. Each visit includes time in an in-person consultation to explain what to expect before, during and after surgery, and each operation is planned around the patient's facial characteristics. He was named to the Texas Super Doctors list for a sixth straight year, he won the Best Special Topic Paper award in the PRS Journal, and he is a featured rhinoplasty expert on RealSelf. Gunter has described him as a rising star in nasal surgery.
