Bruce Kushnick

Bruce Kushnick owns Beauty By Bruce, where he works as the stylist, and he is based in New York City as a hair stylist and makeup artist. His start came at the Fifth Avenue Vidal Sassoon salon, where his first decade in the field went to mastering and carrying out wet cuts. For roughly three and a half years he trained in dry cutting under John Sahag, a run that began in 1985 when Sahag asked him to help launch Sahag's first salon on 53rd Street. He then worked independently as a freelancer. Across his career he has also worked at Eiji Salon, Pentomo, Cranford Stein, and John Louis David inside Henri Bendel, as well as at Elizabeth Arden's 5th Avenue location, Pierre Michel, Orbie, the John Sahag workshop and Vidal Sassoon. He has worked on magazine editorials alongside his own client base. Clients include Tory Burch, Vera Wang, Louis Vuitton, Thierry Mugler, Fendi, Betsey Johnson, and the magazines Hamptons Magazine, Quest Magazine and Latina Magazine. Each hairstyle can take up to ninety minutes and is shaped around each client.
