Brittani Gray

Brittani Gray is the founder and visual artist behind Be Natural Haircare, which she has run for about a decade. She creates editorial, avant-garde and high-fashion hairstyles, with a focus on textured hair. Her work has appeared in local publications, CNN, Netflix, Vogue, at The Met Gala and during several New York Fashion Weeks.

She graduated from the Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology and holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Central State University. She worked with Cincinnati City Council on a nondiscrimination ordinance protecting natural hair types and styles in the workplace, passed in October 2019. In 2018 she founded the nonprofit Girls Health Period to educate and support students experiencing menstruation. The nonprofit has reached more than 75 local schools in Cincinnati and over 100 schools nationwide.
