Brianna Schraw, DMD

Brianna Schraw, DMD, is a dentist and facial aesthetics instructor. She founded Smiles by Design and opened the practice in Baxter Village, Fort Mill, in August 2005. She trained at the M.U.S.C. College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, earning a B.S. in Biology and graduating in 2002, and then spent three years as an associate before opening her own office. Her clinical interests include TMJ, sleep apnea, vertigo and headaches, including headaches linked to tinnitus. Alongside dentistry she offers Botox and dermal fillers, and she uses Botox as a therapy for TMJ pain and teeth grinding. She has completed many continuing education courses taught by leaders in dental and facial aesthetics. For the American Academy of Facial Esthetics she works as a faculty member, lead trainer and private consultant, and she has demonstrated pain relief techniques for shoulder and head pain in an instructional video. She uses current technology to take diagnostic records, explains what is happening in a patient's mouth and advises on staying healthy. During consultations she evaluates discoloration, chips, gaps, uneven and missing teeth, then recommends a personalized plan. Before sedation dentistry, she pre-screens patients for sleep apnea.
