Briana McDonald

Briana McDonald owns Green + Anchor, which she opened in January 2018, and works there as its master hair extension artist. She began her hair career in Portland, Oregon, has more than 18 years of experience in the hair industry, and has been based in San Diego for over eight years. In 2021 she was selected by Covet & Mane to be part of The Coveted, a curated group of hand-tied extension stylists across the country.

She spent 2.5 years in the NBR Mastermind program, which covered hand-tied extension methods, technique and business, including many hours of in-person and online training. She also trained in the beaded row methods of NBR, IBE and Luna, and is trained and certified in more than seven extension methods and brands. Her own hand-tied process was developed from several of these methods.

Much of her career has focused on hair color and a holistic, healthy approach to hair. She works with clients who are unhappy with the amount or look of their hair and uses extensions to address it. She enjoys helping women feel their confidence return through natural-looking extensions.
