Brian Shafa

Brian is a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills who holds board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has surgical privileges at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he also volunteers on a regular basis. His training covers cosmetic and reconstructive procedures across the full scope of plastic surgery, including burn, wound and hand care, and he has treated patients both in the United States and internationally. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University and an MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he won the Golden Heart Award, given to a single student each year, and served as vice president of the Gold Humanism Honors Society. General surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit ran from 2012 to 2017, followed by plastic surgery training at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2017 to 2020 with a focus on craniofacial and cosmetic work. He also spent research periods at Harvard Medical School studying cancer biology and genetics, and at UCLA studying epigenetic control in cancer development. His breast procedures include custom breast lifts, breast reduction for women with very large breasts, revision surgery to fix prior surgical errors or replace older implants, and gender-confirming breast surgery. Facial work includes facelifts and facial structure alteration, while body work covers contouring and liposuction. For men, he performs upper and lower eyelid repair, rhinoplasty, male breast reduction for gynecomastia, HD liposuction to define muscle, and body implants.
