Brian Nguyen

Brian Nguyen holds a California license to practice acupuncture and works at Heart Based Health. He is also certified by the NCCAOM as a practitioner of Oriental Medicine, and earned a Master's degree from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine. He completed advanced classical acupuncture training under Dr. Edward Neal at the Huang Di Nei Jing Institute. He also trained in Master Tung acupuncture with Christine Chang, whom the site describes as one of Dr. Wei Chieh Young's leading students. Before he took up acupuncture, he taught Argentine tango at a master level. Master Tung acupuncture is his main focus. He is especially interested in complex, long-standing conditions, including autoimmune, digestive and skin disorders, and in how environmental toxins may affect organs and the myofascial system over time. His approach combines classical principles with an understanding of movement and whole-body physiology, and he looks at both pain and the underlying causes of illness.
