Brent Folsom

Brent Folsom is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, based primarily at the South Strand office in Myrtle Beach. Before entering medicine, he served five years in the United States Army, two of them in Germany.

His education began with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He then earned a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School, where he also completed a Master of Business Administration, and trained through an internal medicine internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson, Michigan before dermatology residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

During residency he treated patients at Emory University Hospitals, Grady Memorial Hospital, the Atlanta VA Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. His aim is to match high-quality care to each patient's individual goals.
