B. Aviva Preminger, MD

B. Aviva Preminger, MD owns Aviva Preminger MD Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in New York and is a board-certified plastic surgeon who holds the FACS credential. She has almost 15 years of surgical experience in cosmetic surgery of the face and body, and her work covers cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast and body. Earlier, she served as Surgical Director of Preminger Plastic Surgery, a private practice in New York, starting in July 2009.

Her training began with a Harvard BA in the History of Science, magna cum laude, in 1999, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from Weill Cornell in 2003 and a Master of Public Health from Columbia's Mailman School in 2007. She completed a general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian-Cornell from 2003 to 2006, a clinical research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering from 2006 to 2007, and a plastic surgery residency at New York Presbyterian, Columbia and Cornell from 2007 to 2009. She is Ivy League educated. Her specialties include complex breast augmentation and breast revision, nipple reduction, facelifts for women and men, mini tummy tucks and mommy makeovers. She also offers non-surgical skin rejuvenation, including anti-aging injectables. She offers 30 simulation and noninvasive treatments, including Botox, fillers and CoolSculpting. She holds ExpertInjector status for administering dermal fillers and other injectables.

She is particularly attentive to women and young mothers who want to look their best, and she performs breast surgery for both women and men at the New York office. Beyond the practice, she taught at Cornell as adjunct faculty, where she covered professionalism and medical ethics, and was an assistant clinical professor in surgery at Columbia from 2009 to 2023. She teaches plastic surgery residents and fellows, has published on ethics, breast reconstruction and cosmetic surgery, and presented at American Society of Plastic Surgeons programs in 2024. She chairs the ASPS Breast Aesthetic Committee for 2026 and serves on the ASPS Board of Directors. She has been a past president of the New York State and Greater New York societies of plastic surgeons, and she has sat on the medical advisory board of Sharsheret since 2015. She is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for twelve consecutive years, a Super Doctors Hall of Fame inductee and a 2022 Top Patient Rated New York Plastic Surgeon. She was included in New York Magazine's Best Doctors 2016 list and named a Top Beauty Doctor of 2015 by NewBeauty.
