About
Avian King founded The Summerland and works across hair, yoga, sound and ritual. Across about twenty years, the work has spanned beauty, movement and healing. Experience includes salons, backstage work, red carpet styling and editorial shoots in New York City, Los Angeles and internationally.
At the studio, Avian offers ceremonial haircuts, signature haircuts and intuitive cutting, with Reiki, energy clearing and sound healing added alongside the haircut. Bridal hair styling is also part of the work. Avian welcomes people going through transition, change or transformation, and offers silent sessions on request. Hair cancellations and reschedules need 24 hours notice.
