Arlette Pender

Arlette Pender is the founder of HAIRLOKS by ARLETTE and a Master Hair Care Pioneer. She is a graduate of the Robert Fiancé School of Beauty. She worked in top salons throughout Brooklyn, New York. She developed her methods for styling natural hair after a growing number of clients began asking for natural hair care.

She specializes in natural hair care and weaving. She is known for full head weaves and extensions, and for adding tracks to increase fullness. She also creates custom lok designs. She developed a natural hair care training program that offers classes for individual stylists, salon owners, and as part of beauty school core curriculum.

Her work has been featured in Essence, Vibe, Floss, Braids & Beyond, Beautiful Braids and Sophisticates Black Hair Magazine. She has appeared in an infomercial and in product ads and videos. Clients include celebrities Kelis Jones, Rodney Darkchild Jerkins and N'Bushe Wright, and members of the WNBA and Major League Baseball.
