Aretha Thompson

Aretha Thompson is the owner and electrologist at Electrolysis By Aretha in Houston. She has been an electrologist since 2011 and specializes in thermolysis, also called ShortWave, and blend electrolysis.

Her training began at Aesthetic Systems in Santa Ana, California, and continued at the California Electrolysis Academy in Carona, California. She studied under a CPE for more than 300 hours and has had extensive training on the Apilus X-Cell 27.12 MHz and Instantron Spectrum epilating machines. She is a certified member of the American Electrology Association and the Texas Association of Professional Electrologists. She also holds a Texas cosmetology license, held for 35 years.

She continues education in sterilization and sanitation every two years and attends conferences and seminars each year to keep her skills current.
