Andrew Velazquez

Andrew Velazquez is the owner and artist of the business, working as a hair and makeup artist. He specializes in makeup artistry, eyebrow shaping and hair styling, and he serves clients of every gender, culture and background.

He began as Lead Makeup Artist at Aveda Spa and moved to Gauthier Total Image Spa a year later. He then spent eleven years at M·A·C Cosmetics, rising into the management team and overseeing education programs, and served four years as National Makeup Artist for Anastasia Beverly Hills. Before opening his salon suite, he worked 15 years in retail cosmetics while freelancing.

His on-set and event credits include work on Keeping Up with the Kardashians in its first two seasons, key makeup artist duties for Florence and the Machine at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, and behind-the-scenes hair and makeup styling on America's Next Top Model and RuPaul's Drag Race. He is credited with signature looks for Lady Gaga, RuPaul and Carmen Electra, and he reached the top three finalists on Lifetime's American Beauty Star. He continues to take salon clients alongside editorial, TV and film projects.

He completed 1600 hours of cosmetology training, graduating with honors from West Valley Occupational Center, and is a licensed cosmetologist. He also studied fashion merchandising at LA Trade Tech, and he trained at the Los Angeles Music and Art School.
