Andrew Smith, MD, FACS

Andrew Smith is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Irvine who treats patients from across Orange County. His board certification is through the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Memberships include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgery and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He is a former president of the Orange County Society of Plastic Surgery and heads the plastic surgery subsection at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, where he also holds staff privileges alongside Hoag Hospital Irvine and Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center.

He earned a BS from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MD from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Residencies followed at George Washington University and at the University of California, Irvine. His plastic and reconstructive surgery training includes a fellowship at UCLA in Los Angeles, where he served as chief resident, and he also trained with plastic surgeons in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, including members of the ABC Extreme Makeover team. During his time as chief resident at UCLA he took part in a nearly 24-hour operation to separate conjoined twins.

His work covers facial plastic surgery, such as facelifts, rhinoplasty, brow lifts, eyelid surgery and neck lifts, and body contouring, including tummy tucks, liposuction, arm lifts and thigh lifts. He performs VASER Hi-Def liposuction and SculpSure treatments. Breast surgery is a major focus, covering augmentation, lifts, reductions and reconstruction for cosmetic, reconstructive and medical reasons, plus complex revisions. He is an active member of the breast centers at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and Hoag Hospital, has more than 15 years of surgical experience, and oversees the semaglutide weight loss program, including follow-up appointments.
