Ambur Gore

Ambur Gore owns Honeycomb Studio and is a Master Certified Haircolorist. She began cosmetology training in Arizona in 2004 and has held a Cosmetology License since then. After graduating, she apprenticed for two years with salon owner Ethan Murray of Urban Hair, then worked at Urban Hair for two more years before opening her own studio in 2009.

She holds Certified Organic Salon Systems hair colorist certification from 2011 and Master Hair Colorist certification with Organic Salon Systems from 2014, both using Organic Colour Systems color. She also has a Cosmetology Instructor's License from 2014 and takes continuing education every year. Her work covers haircuts, styling, custom color including global color, highlights, color blocking and rainbow shades, color correction and scalp treatments.

She has been working with and making locs since 2006 and takes dreadlock maintenance clients of all hair textures on a limited basis; that list is currently full. She competed at Hair Wars in Scottsdale in 2006 and in Las Vegas in 2008 with the stylists of Urban Hair. Her styling has appeared in fashion shows including SMoCA Nights from 2005 to 2009, Scottsdale Fashion Week from 2005 to 2010, and the Grand Avenue Annual Fashion Show in 2010. Her work has been published in Java Magazine in 2010 and The Phoenix New Times in 2009.
