About
Amanda Power founded Power Hair after about a decade of working for others in the industry. She received her cosmetology license in 2007 and worked and trained under Rusty Philips for several years after graduating. She is a certified colorist for both Schwarzkopf and Tigi.
Her training also includes a nine-month apprenticeship under Lisa Jindu, creative director of Streets of London in Chicago, which focused on cutting. She spent about a year in Chicago before moving to New York City, where she has worked in the hospitality and hair industries since 2010.
She is known for natural-looking fantasy colors, redheads and low-maintenance blondes.
