Alyssa

Alyssa runs Golen Glam Studio, which she has owned since 2020, and she has worked as a hairstylist since 2010. In 2015 she joined the Inspirational Youth team, a group of ten stylists from around the country who trained together. The team was the subject of a ten-episode mini series on YouTube, and she handled cutting and styling and presented models on stage at Premiere Orlando. In 2017 she was the featured stylist at a Behind The Chair runway show in Chicago, a showcase for stylists under 30.

Afterward she worked as a salon educator, traveling between states to teach current styling and cutting trends, and she is a former educator for TIGI hair care. In recent years she has scaled back teaching to concentrate on her own craft. She competes in hair competitions and takes part in hair education internationally.

Her work leans toward styling and makeup, informed by runway and photo shoot experience. She cuts men's and women's hair with precision, aiming for styles that are simple to recreate at home, and her color is intended to bring out a client's natural tone with as little upkeep as possible. She travels to London, New York, Chicago and Dallas for ongoing cosmetology education, and she builds each look around the individual client's personal style.
