Her career started with the Redken team, where she worked as a hair design educator a few years after graduating. In that role she visited salons to teach cutting and finishing, and she often ran certification sessions in New York and Las Vegas. Later she moved into teaching cosmetology and led an Aveda hair color team, with state board certification work among her duties. She also completed Aveda credentials covering texture, design, color and product knowledge. After those years in education she went back to working as a stylist.
