Alisha Rodrigues

Alisha Rodrigues is the owner and master stylist of Lavish Salon, a role she has held since June 2015. Her hair career spans about 20 years, and it began while she was still in school, when she worked in several barbershops doing braids, locs and weaves. Her work extends beyond the salon. She has worked as a makeup artist and hairstylist on music videos and magazine covers, and she served as head director of hair and makeup for Boston En Vogue Fashion Week. For several years she has also worked at Rhode Island Style Week, Providence Fashion Week and Rhode Island Fashion Week. She has been an Olaplex advocate since 2017 and is a member of Modern Salon's Artistic Connective Team. The Providence Journal featured her in 2016 and Boston Voyager in 2017. Modern Salon Magazine included her among its Top 100 Stylists in the country in 2019, and in 2023 she won Best Haircut at Cosmoprof's Licensed to Create Awards. Curly hair is her main focus. She has taken private classes with Chris Appleton, Tracey Cunningham and Kim Kimble, and she holds certifications in Brazilian Blowout, Keratin Complex, Neo Microlink Extensions and Olaplex. She has trained stylists in curly cutting for over 10 years and launched Lavish Curls Academy in 2025 to train and certify stylists in cutting and styling curly hair. She teaches a Mommy and Daddy and Me class on washing, styling and maintaining a child's curly hair, along with a class on managing one's own curly hair.
