About
Alex Jackson co-founded Centered Spirit and founded the Awareness is Healing Method and the Awareness is Healing Institute. He opened a private holistic practice in 2003 and works in traditional healing, prenatal and postpartum care, herbal medicine and somatic bodywork, and also practices medical massage.
Since 2003, he has made annual trips to Belize, Guatemala and Mexico to study healing techniques and herbal medicine with traditional healers. He has studied and apprenticed with traditional medicine practitioners in Central America, Mexico and New Mexico, and each year speaks at the University of New Mexico's Traditional Medicine without Borders classes.
