Alan McClintick

Alan McClintick is a senior physician assistant at Instant Urgent Care, working in urgent care. He has been with the practice for six years and rotates between its San Jose, Santa Clara and Sunnyvale clinics. He sees walk-in urgent care patients and ongoing primary care patients of all ages. He spent 21.5 years in the U.S. Air Force as an air-medical technician, taking part in search-and-rescue work, and later served eight years in the flight surgeon's office. Earlier in his career he worked in California, Pennsylvania and the Asia-Pacific region. His clinical specialties are emergency medicine, orthopedics, internal medicine, urgent care and primary care. He treats minor injuries, sprains and infections, and carries out complex diagnostic workups for adults and children. He speaks English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi. He trained through the University of Nebraska, earning a degree in biomedical science, and is board-certified as a physician assistant by the NCCPA Physician Assistant Board. He also mentors new PAs, nurse practitioners and medical students at the practice.
