About
AJ Mixan owns Roose Beauty and works as its stylist. Training started at Scott Cole Academy from 2002 to 2003, then continued at Aveda from 2003 to 2007, a program that covered both hair and business. At Aveda, AJ became a color educator and demonstrated hairstyles on stages across the country. AJ was also selected by an elite group to represent the United States on a stage in Paris. From 2008 to 2009, AJ worked at The Spot salon. At the end of 2009, AJ co-founded The Roose Parlour & Spa with LeAnne. The Roose closed in 2020 after 11 years in business. AJ now works at Mix & Mac hair lounge on McDowell Road, using the Davines product line.
