ZYDRATE SKIN

Zydrate Skin was opened by Natalie, a licensed esthetician who studied esthetics at GSKIN Beauty Institute in Chicago. While still in school she worked at Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology (CCSD).

The spa says its aim is to help people learn about their own skin and to set aside time for self-care. Its skincare work combines conventional methods with holistic practices, and the tarot readings add a more reflective option to the menu.

Visits are by appointment only. A debit or credit card is kept on file to secure the booking, but nothing is charged until the service is complete. Accepted payments are cash, card, Venmo, Zelle and Apple Pay. Groupon vouchers can be booked through the Reserve Without Paying option at checkout, with a card on file and the voucher barcode scanned on arrival.

Tarot reading options are Higher Self Guidance at $5, and the Emperor (Authority), Empress (Abundance) and Magician (Manifestation) readings at $10 each. The spa also hosts a free Tea and Tarot Night event series at the location. Gift cards and packages are available through Book Now.

Free street parking is available on the blocks around the building. The California Green Line CTA station is roughly a 6 to 8 minute walk away, and the Lake and Western or Lake and Washington stops are about 6 to 10 minutes on foot.

Combines conventional skincare methods with holistic practices, and aims to help clients understand their skin and make time for self-care.
