Yukon Beauty College opened in 1985. She is still the school's CEO and still works alongside instructors and students. According to the school, the owner and staff together have 71 years of combined experience.

The school uses the Pivot Point International curriculum and has used Pivot Point educational content for more than 30 years. Course materials include Pivot Point's LAB (Learn About Beauty) program, Salon Ability, a Designers Approach, Salon Fundamentals, Fundamentals and Mindful Teaching. The school says it is ranked among the top 10 schools in Oklahoma and describes its facility as state of the art.

Four programs are offered. Basic Cosmetology is 1250 hours and prepares graduates to work as stylists, manicurists, facialists, salon owners or product educators, and it is the prerequisite for the Cosmetology Instructor route. The 600-hour Esthetician program prepares students for esthetics work, cosmetic company technician roles or salon ownership, and leads to Esthetics Instructor study. The 600-hour Manicurist program prepares students as manicurists, pedicurists, nail technicians, product knowledge educators or salon owners, and leads to Manicurist Instructor study. The 600-hour Master Instructor program prepares students to teach cosmetology. After passing the State Board Licensing Exam, Master Instructor graduates may teach at a private cosmetology school or a public vocational school, or serve as administrators.

Classes begin the second Monday of each month. School hours are 9:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Financial aid is available to qualifying students through the FAFSA, and VA and BIA programs are available to those who qualify. The school also offers tuition financing with no interest for the full 10-month course.

The school teaches from the Pivot Point International curriculum and has built its training on that educational content for decades.
