Clients should have hair at least 3 inches long before booking. Standard kanekalon braiding hair is included in most styles, while hair for boho braids and twists is supplied by the client, though synthetic hair for boho braids may be considered on request. Touch-ups usually remove and re-braid two to three rows around the perimeter. Children ages 6 to 12 are accepted, and a free 15-minute virtual consultation is offered for kids. Parents should mention at consultation if a child has never had braids. Children are only allowed in the salon while they are being served. Appointments are by request Monday through Saturday, and the salon is closed on Sundays.

Booking policies include a 15-minute grace period, after which a $15 late fee applies. Appointments more than 30 minutes late are canceled and the deposit is forfeited. Rescheduling needs at least 24 hours' notice or the deposit is forfeited. Accepted payments are cash, Zelle, credit or debit card, Google Pay and Tap. Clients are photographed after appointments, and adult clients should expect to be featured on social media, though faces need not be shown. The shop retails The Esther Elixir, a daily hair growth mist, at $20, and Crown of Glory Herbal-Infused Hair Growth Oil at $20. Also available are The Crown Travel-Sized Bundle at $25 and the Your Crown My Canvas Bundle, which pairs two scalp and strand products. To use The Esther Elixir, apply the mist to problem areas, work it in for three minutes, and then style hair as usual.
