About

Yes Her Studio is built around natural hair. Every client starts with The Transformation, a first appointment that sets the hair care plan the studio follows afterward. From there, clients move onto the Check-Up, the Essentials or the Quick One, depending on how much support their hair needs and how often they want to come in.

The studio's mission is to help clients work toward their hair goals through careful, clear and encouraging care. Visits are meant to teach clients about their own hair type, how to look after it and which products to use and when. Recommendations lean toward hair health over appearance goals, and the studio sees hair as one part of how a person feels about themselves, with that confidence beginning from within.

The Check-Up is a follow-up to The Transformation and is usually booked every two to four months. It includes a deep cleanse, a treatment, a trim and a hairstyle. How often a client needs it depends on hair type, and finer hair generally needs trims sooner. The Essentials covers a treatment and a trim, with clients styling their hair at home. The Quick One, for existing clients only, includes cleansing, conditioning and a simple style that lasts about one to two weeks, and is designed for monthly or twice-monthly visits.

Beyond client appointments, the studio teaches education classes for stylists. Options include Shadow Day, 2 Day and Hands On classes, and the owner can also be hired to teach at a salon. Some classes have a small model fee, and the studio accepts applications from people who want to model hair for classes.

The art shop sells art pieces and apparel designed by the studio, such as a 24 x 36 inch Curly Cut gallery print, a Unisex Heavy Blend crewneck sweatshirt and a Curly and Confident T-shirt. Items are drop shipped directly from the manufacturer, so an order may arrive in more than one shipment.

Focuses on healthy hair over appearance goals, with a plan built around each client's hair type and a schedule of trims and treatments.
