Yellow Moon Spa

Yellow Moon Spa opened in March 2010 in Olde Town Louisville, Colorado, and was founded by Myhanh Clites. It now operates from a suite in Broomfield. Nail care is the main focus, and the spa has recently expanded into skin care.

The nail work is built around natural nails rather than acrylics. The spa says its natural nail services do no damage to the nail, use little to no chemicals, and produce fewer fumes. Shellac manicures and pedicures are offered, along with CND Shellac, which the spa says lasts about two weeks without chipping or peeling. CND describes its Shellac system as requiring no drilling, filing, or nail damage, with zero dry time, and removal in about ten minutes using nail wraps.

Skin care facials use Bioelements, a complete skin care and makeup system that can be adjusted to individual skin needs, and the spa's skin care focuses on natural products for treating, caring for, and maintaining the skin. Image Skincare, founded in 2003 by Janna Ronert, is also part of the product lineup; according to the brand, its products are sold in 27 countries and its laboratory is FDA-certified.

Waxing uses Satin Smooth wax imported from Italy, blended with beeswax and propolis. Its built-in buffers mean no dusting powder or talc is needed. Massage therapy is also available. Essential oils can be purchased through a linked Young Living website.

Visits must be scheduled ahead, since no service is offered without a booking. Requests to move an appointment need to reach the salon at least a full day in advance. Opening times run from 8:30am to 1:30pm on Mondays through Thursdays and Sundays, from 8:30am to 7:00pm on Fridays, and from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays.
