Private lash work happens at Yaz The Beauty Pro in Chicago's River North neighborhood. Yasmine, known as Yaz, founded the studio and works there as a master lash artist. Visits are by appointment only.
New clients begin with a video consultation on Google Meet, with the link sent by text or email. It runs 20 minutes or more and looks at natural lash features, goals and the plan for the service before any appointment is booked. The consultation fee is credited toward a full set if the client books one.
Each lash set is mapped and designed for the individual client. Styles in the studio's portfolio include wispy, natural hybrid, light volume, mega volume and cat eye. Fills are scheduled by how long it has been since the last visit, and a fill booked too far out may need to be a full set instead.
The menu also covers lash lifts and brow services, including brow lamination and tinting. Brow lamination and the Korean lash lift both use vegan keratin, and tints last about seven days.
Deposits secure appointment times, are applied to the final cost and are non-refundable. Changes made with less than 24 hours' notice are charged half of the day's booked services, and children and pets are not permitted. The studio is open Tuesday and Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM and Wednesday to Friday 11 AM to 8 PM, and is closed Monday and Sunday.
Each lash set is designed individually around the client's natural features and the result they want.
