Wylde + Lowe Salon

Sarah Sheppard founded Wylde + Lowe in 2023 as a collective where independent stylists can build their own businesses. Each stylist sets their own services, pricing, policies and booking, and clients book directly with the stylist they choose online. The salon is open seven days a week by appointment, and the salon describes its experience as elevated.

Some services begin with a consultation, and one is required for first-time clients and before any color change. A deposit is needed to book every appointment and is applied to the service. If a client cancels, the deposit turns into a cancellation fee and a new deposit is needed to rebook. Each stylist posts their own cancellation policy on their booking page. Buy Now, Pay Later financing is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Color services can be booked online by existing clients only, and pricing is shown at booking or at the consultation.

Extension work starts with a consultation, and the stylist first evaluates the health, strength and growth pattern of the natural hair. Texture, cuticle direction and color are matched before installation, and the salon will not install extensions on natural hair it considers compromised. After an install, clients receive a home-care routine and a timeline for a move-up appointment. The salon says it sources only high-quality, ethically produced human hair.

Balayage is hand-painted for a soft, blended grow-out, while foil methods give more lift and a more defined result. The salon's Brazilian Blowout smoothing is described on the site as frizz-canceling and as cutting styling time in half. The RPM hair care line is carried and sold at the salon, and the salon says RPM products are rigorously third-party tested.

Each look begins with a personal consultation covering hair texture, lifestyle and hair history before any product is recommended, and haircut frequency is planned around each client rather than a fixed schedule.
