WOAD Studio

WOAD Studio operates out of Sola Salons at 455 S. Lake Ave in Pasadena. The studio is registered and approved by the Health Department of Pasadena and the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology of California. Its booking platform groups services into skincare treatments, skin analysis and consultations, and waxing and eyebrow services, and it also lists products and packages, including subscriptions.

The studio offers DMK treatments. Some of them produce a plasmatic effect, and clients may have about 30 minutes of downtime afterward. Cosmetic tattoo procedures are also offered, and clients are asked to follow aftercare instructions and allow a two-week healing period. Valid photo ID is required for cosmetic tattoo appointments, and the appointment cannot go ahead without it.

Before an appointment, clients are asked to avoid exfoliants, AHAs, benzoyl peroxide, retinols, topical prescriptions, facial waxing and injectables, as set out in the FAQ. They should arrive with no makeup on, since removing it uses appointment time. Visits end with sunscreen being applied. Guests are not permitted in the facility, so childcare needs to be arranged in advance.

Deposits are required to book and are paid by credit card, with the remaining balance due on the day of the appointment. Deposits are non-refundable, including when the cancellation policy is not met. Cancellations and rescheduling need 48 hours' notice; otherwise 50% of the service charge applies, or the amount is deducted from a series or gift certificate. No-shows are charged 50% of the service charge and must pay a new deposit to rebook, and clients who no-show twice are not eligible to schedule a new appointment.

Hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 10AM to 8PM, and Saturday from 8AM to 4PM. The studio is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Free parking is available in the Macy's lot next to the studio, and there is street parking nearby. The studio accepts all major credit cards, Venmo and cash. It does not keep change on site, so exact amounts are needed for cash payments.

Treatments are built around each client's individual concerns, with a focus on skin health as a whole.
