Wildflower Hair Studio

Wildflower Hair Studio was founded by Cole Flynn and Victoria Millsap, who began working in the beauty industry more than a decade before they opened their own space. The first studio opened on Newbury Street in March 2019. After a closure, the business reopened and later moved to its current North End location.

Each client relationship starts with a thorough consultation about hair goals, needs and daily lifestyle. New clients begin by filling out an online form on the website, where they can also leave a message. Haircuts take up to an hour, coloring takes at least two and a half hours, and bridal appointments run an hour or more. Clients are asked to allow 48 hours' notice to move or cancel an appointment.

The studio is known for lived-in haircolor that grows out seamlessly. It uses Kevin Murphy color, which the studio describes as naturally derived, and says the brand's bottles are made from ocean waste plastic. Its wider product range is described as naturally derived, eco-friendly and cruelty-free, and hair products are sold through a shop page on the website.

Bridal work covers on-site and off-site weddings across New England. Bridal hair and makeup should be booked four to six weeks before the wedding day. Brides can add a trial to their hair or makeup service, and bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and mothers of the groom have their own lower-priced options. The studio also lists recommended wedding vendors, including cake makers, a photographer, a florist and an invitation designer.

Parking is available at Haymarket Garage, validated at one dollar an hour for up to three hours with the ticket. Other garages are a few minutes' walk away. The Blue Line stops at Aquarium and the Orange and Green Lines stop at Haymarket. Wi-Fi is available for clients. The studio also rents space to independent stylists.
