Wilde Hair was founded by Gregory Wilde, who created the brand after clients asked for hair restoration that looked elegant, natural and close to undetectable. The business works in partnership with the Cesare Ragazzi Laboratory and holds the license to design Cesare Ragazzi CNC and XT systems. Each system takes 39 production steps carried out in Italy.
A visit begins with a free consultation, which can be booked in person or done virtually. At the initial appointment the hair and scalp are evaluated to see whether a CNC system is a good fit, and hydration, sebum levels and pH balance are tested. Every patient has a patch test for allergic reaction before a system is applied. Systems are built from a 3D scan that maps the scalp, using non-chemically treated raw virgin human hair that is tested for authenticity in Bologna, Italy. The base is 3D printed from an anti-microbial material described as FDA-approved and attached with a medical-grade adhesive described as FDA-cleared.
The Ragazzi CNC is a second-skin prosthetic that adds volume, length and customization to the crown. The Ragazzi XT is fitted over the back of the head, extending toward the ears, and is designed to add length, volume and frontal projection toward the front of the face. The business says the XT provides three times the amount of hair that traditional extensions give. Color, texture, density, length and style are matched to the client. Final placement takes place at the studio with a personal fitting, followed by styling and coloring.
Systems need regular maintenance, and the business provides ongoing care, styling and maintenance appointments. A CNC system typically lasts 12 to 18 months with proper upkeep. Some clients may qualify for insurance coverage for cranial prosthetic hair systems in Massachusetts.
Beyond the systems, the studio offers single-process color, color foiling as an alternative to bleach foiling with a longer processing time, balayage with a color gloss, and color alternatives for clients with hair color allergies. Color balancing for CNC systems includes cutting and styling. Outreach appointments are offered across Metro West, and the home page lists service neighborhoods including South End, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Bay Village, Fenway, South Boston, Cambridge, Brookline and Somerville.
Custom, non-surgical hair restoration built around a 3D scan of each client's head, with a medical history review before treatment planning.
The business describes its visits as one-on-one and private.
